My fiance and I are inviting only parents, grandparents, and siblings to our destination wedding. I would like to webcast our wedding live for our close friends and other family members who were not invited so that they can still witness our wedding if they so desire.
Question:
How should I announce that the wedding will be webcast? How do I make it clear that they are invited to witness the wedding but not to attend it without seeming rude? As anything announcing a webcast would be sent to the same group who would receive wedding announcements, will I need to send wedding announcements after the ceremony, as well?

Dear Smorgan,
It may be best to verbally inform those whom you wish to "invite" to watch your webcast, since tone of voice will help your message--sounds more personal. Then you could send all on your list a card with the information they will need to watch the webcast. Alternately, if you have a wedding website, you could also email everyone on your list with the name of it so they will see an announcement of the webcast.
You won't need to send announcements to these people. They will already know about your wedding.
Best wishes,
