Hi,

My wedding is a year from now, but I already bought my dress. What is the best way to store it for a year? Thanks!

Your dress should be stored in the garment bag, hanging freely, nothing pressing it on the sides or on the bottom. When you are ready for it, most likely all that will be needed will be a pressing.

The Wedding Gown Preservation Company recommends that you never store a wedding gown in plastic because of a moisture issue.
I'd hang the dress on a padded hanger in a loosely fitting garment bag made from fabric, not plastic. Don't store in excess heat or cold or in places where there could be moisture (like a basement of attic). Keep away from pets and smokers.
