I'm having an informal destination wedding in the mountains. We're planning to use a garden gazebo. I'm not sure what type attire is best for myself and the groom. Any suggestions?

I'm not the fashion expert, but I can chime in with the etiquette involved. Your attire would reflect the formality of your event. So, most likely, you wouldn't wear the traditional wedding gown. You could wear the equivalent of a dress you would wear to the very best restaurant--watch the cleavage :D . Of course, there may be some informal wedding dresses out there that would be perfect.

Your groom could be in nice slacks and a nice shirt. Depending on how formal you want to go with this he could add a jacket. A jacket would be my preference though.

This all kind of depends on your personal style preference. I wouldn't say no just yet to an actual wedding gown, there are plenty of casual options out there. You could even try a shorter dress (which I am loving right now) if you are trying to achieve that "informal" look. With a down hair style a vintage inspired chiffon dress is informal yet still says I am getting married today. Remember this is your wedding day so you don't want to look too informal but there is a happy medium. As far as the grooms attire, I would say a tan/khaki, gray or light colored suit would be best. Suit, nice shirt and no tie would be okay for an informal wedding. After the ceremony he can take of his jacket for a more relaxed feel.
