I've already decided on what flower I want for my wedding. I simply /have/ to have it because it makes the entire thing even more cute.

I'm looking for Aaron's dream Irises (My Fiancé's name is Aaron). I know when they bloom but I simply cannot find a florist in the Seattle Area that carries these flowers. What can I do?!

Does anyone know where I can get these flowers? Maybe an alternative to finding them in the Seattle area? If there's an easier way to search florists for this information rather than using Google Maps?

I appreciate any input! I'd love to find these sometime soon.

Great question and to find a flower named after your fiancé is a great idea and one that I am sure will be appreciated by all. What a great idea.

As you may know the Aaron Iris is part of the Bearded Iris family or also known as the German iris. The Bearded Iris season ranges from late spring and blooming again later in the summer.

Now, I would love to see you accomplish this goal but in order to do so you must consider the following:

1. Your Source - there is not a florist in the world that carry the Bearded Iris in their regular inventory. You will have to resort your search to growers specific.

2. The date of your event - If your event is not in May this goal has just become more challenging. The Aaron iris availability is different than other bearded iris.

3. Shipping - This variety of Iris requires special shipping. As the Aaron iris is extremely delicate, it is so delicate that most growers do not grow them because they are so difficult to ship.

4. Quantity - The growers that I know will all require and have minimums. This means you will have to purchase more than one bunch in order for them to fill your order. Most growers will require a minimum of like 3- 5 bunch.

In closing, and with good news, there are growers that carry the Aaron bearded Iris and ship them all over the country. If you find yourself circling in your search, with not a whole lot of luck, I would consider helping you with some alternative recommendations.

Thanks for the question.
