Do I need a Petticoat for Wedding Dress? What kind?
#2
Check with a seamstress at your local bridal salon: she will suggest the best petticoat solution for this particular style of a dress!

This dress looks like it just needs a regular petticoat or crinoline. They come in regular, full, and super-full sizes. Your local bridal salon will have them. If not, there is a huges selection online! Hope this helps!

It depends on what look you are going for. For example, the gown worn by Catherine Duchesse of Cambridge could have been worn with a fuller petticoat and resulted in a much wider more 'Princess-like' silhouette. Instead, she chose a more subtle flare. I personally think the skirt suits you just as it is for your height (from what I can see in your photo). Adding more fullness to the skirt may drown you in the dress. If however you have your mind set on a much fuller skirt, then I would recommend you try a company called JUPON (just type the name into Google)who carry a wide range of petticoats. I would recommend a petticoat with layers of netting rather than a stiffened crinoline hem. The net petticoats look more natural as you move in the gown. Hope this helps.

I think the skirt fits you well in terms of your body shape. If you prefer a more full look, your local bridal salon can provide you with the best options. It may help to bring a long a picture of the look you are trying to achieve rather than explaining it. Best of luck : )
