hi,

I am getting married here in Singapore. The solemnization will be held inside the steamboat restaurant, they have a simple private function room for us. It'll be a daytime wedding (11:30am-3:00pm). I haven't announced the final attire for the guests, and I thank God I found this Top Wedding Questions site. I don't know the exact term to use for the attire and i really need your advice. It's just a simple wedding. Thank you so much.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. The typically attire for a daytime wedding can range from "smart casual" to "semi-formal" - the choice is yours. Wishing you all the best ~

Your guests should be able to get the proper attire from your invitation which usually sets the tone for formality (type of paper/engraved location, time of day). You don't have to write the attire exceptions on the invitations, though. If someone is not sure they will probably ask.

Agreed.

Attire isn't usually written on the invitation unless the the expected dress code is formal. So, it is best to verbally inform guests. A wedding website is useful for this purpose as well.
