My boyfriend is a groomsman in his sisters wedding. He is the only one I know at this wedding and I feel weird going. During the reception he will be seated with the bridal party and I have no idea where I will be seated. I am scared and I'm thinking of pulling up a chair next to my man; is that bad etiquette? I dont know anyone and dont want to be surrounded by people I don't know plus there is a language barrier because this family speaks vietmanese.

It is not proper to pull a chair up to where your boyfriend will be seated, presumably at the head table.
Please discuss youtr fears with your boyfriend. Consider this a learning and growing lesson. It will teach you how to communicate with people you don't know. Perhaps you could get yourself a Vietnamese to English dictonary and learn a few common words and phrases like "thank you", "please" and "yes".
If you are going to be in this relationship with your boyfriend long term you should begin now to learn some language and to be around people who don't speak English. This comes with maturity and age. You just have to get out there and do it, a little at a time. Perhpas your boyfriend could introduce you to a few close family members, one or two at a time. Again, please speak to your boyfriend about all of your concerns.
