My finace and I are inviting adults only to our St. Thomas wedding that we are having at a rented villa. We will communicate this to our guests via the invitations by addressing them to "Mr. and Mrs.". The only 2 children that we are going to invite are his two nephews (age 8 and 12). The problem that we are running into is that our guests seem to be planning a family vacation for themselves and are assuming that their children are invited. We don't know how to nicely tell our other family and friends that it is adults only. My fiance is not comfortable having that conversation with people since they are traveling so far for our wedding. HELP!

Dear Help!
You have done everything correct so far and run into the problem many are having these days. It doesn't seem to matter much who is invited, parents think their children are so special that they should be invited. Of course, mine are but....
I think your only option now is to open 'talk' to these people. Just be honest about the celebration being an adult only event. If that seems to be too stressful, perhaps you can contact your resort and find a babysitting service that can assist you on that day.
Best wishes and please keep in touch.
