We were going to elope, but my grandmother wanted to attend, so we ended up sending invitations to our families. We pretty much only have enough money to pay for the ceremony (use of chapel, marriage license, ceremony) Around 40 people will be attending. I do not even know what to do...I have never even been to a wedding. I am nervous to death. Everyone says it will all come together naturally, but that doesn't help my nerves any. We will not have any attendants, so who should have the rings? I thought about us having them, but my dress has no pockets & his ring is a sz.13 so I can't wear it on any of my fingers until time. Also, I bought some drawstring sachets, I have jordan almonds & mini bubbles to go in them. What do I do with them? Sit them in the pews, have someone hand them out?,(before or after the ceremony?) I apologize for being so clueless & appreciate any help.

Dear Small Ceremony,
A good book may help. The Bride's Book of Etiquette is very simple to read and you can just read the chapters that you need to read--very simple. Talking to your officiate will help also. This person can tell you what to do at the church.
You could have someone pass these items either at the beginning or at the end of the ceremony. You will probably want to stay around to say thank you to your guests for sharing your day. They will then have the bubbles to send you on your way.
Something that may be fun for you and your fiance would be to watch some movies in which couples marry. This would give you an idea of what the procedure is and it will be enjoyable. It's a great excuse for popcorn too.
Best wishes,
