I am very confused. about all of this! My step-son is getting married. (the kids lived with us and we have a great relationship) However....I have no idea what I am supposed to be doing as step-mother of the groom.

The rehersal dinner is being paid for by my husband and I. Do we plan it? Do the kids? or does his mother and her husband?
My husband doesn't ask his son and he doesn't want me to bother him with questions.(last time I asked "our" son, he wasn't sure what he wanted...perhaps a b-b-Q and my husband instructed me not to bother him anymore about it).....should I speak with the bride? and find out her wishes or what.........I am beginning to think about staying at home........my husband just assumes that all will work out...........excuse me the rehersal dinner does need some planning....by someone!

[crazy]help! I'm having "issues"

Since you have agreed to host the rehearsal dinner this means that you get to decide what type of event this will be and what sort of dinner you want to serve. If your step son doesn't seem too interested in helping you decide then go ahead and plan the dinner you would like to host.
