I want to make sure that I am going to be addressing my Invitations correctly. When you would like to invite a couple but do not want them to bring their children do you address the wedding invitation to just Mr. & Mrs. Smith??

Dear Tina:
If you are not including the children you would address the inner envelope:
Mr. John Smith
Mrs. Mary Smith
or first names if you are very familiar, Aunt and Uncle or Cousin, etc. for family members.
Just do not include the names of the children on the inner envelope and this will let the recipient know the names of those who are invited.
