I am a baptized catholic who has never been married. My fiance is a baptized catholic who was married in a civil ceremony to a non catholic and is now divorced. Will it be neccessary for him to get an annulment in order for us to marry in the catholic church?

Probably not since his civil ceremony wouldn't be acknowledged by the church but please go to have a meeting with your local parish priest to be sure.

I would definitely check with the Priest who will be officiating. Civil ceremonies are not normally recognized but I know of Priests who require an annulment in such situations. Best of luck and God bless.
