Hi!!!

My daughter is having an outdoor wedding in Oct of 2006. The chairs that I can reasonably rent for the ceremony are very ugly, so I am trying to get some help on chair covers. I have tried to rent them but the are very, very expensive. I would like some ideas on making them or finding used covers that are cheap.

I need help on how to cover them up! [crazy]

Thanks

If you don't need to cover the entire chair, but want to embellish it, try adding some homemade sating bows to the back. You can buy sil look-a-like silk fabric fabric at a local craft store and possibly find some yardage on the scrap table. Tulle is a good alternative too depending on the style you're going for and the formality. You can get some silk flowers to add to the tulle and attach to the top, back of the chair. Make certain that nothing goes on the inside of the seat back or on the seat itself for optimum comfort.

If you can sew, of course, you could get a pattern and make the covers yourself, at a bit of a savings, depending on the fabric you select. If you have a lot of time, shop around for fabric bargains.

Good Luck.
