My sister-in-law did not invite me to her bridal shower even though I was invited to her wedding and my daughter was her flower girl. I was wondering if that was a snub to me. She gave her bridesmaid a list of who she wanted invited and my mother-in-law contributed her list as well. What is the proper etiquette?

Thank you,
Sarah

She may have wanted to spare you. A shower gift is an additional cost to those invited, unless this is a giftless shower. Plus, if the mother-in-law was allowed to invite guests, the bride may have wanted to keep her list small. I doubt it was a slight. Some of these showers are really getting crazy.
