Hello! I am planning to make my own escort cards for my reception. Is there a free escort card template that I can download online that you can recommend? I am looking for a format that allows you to type on it and then print it out yourself. Also, since I have a Victorian-themed wedding, if any of the templates include borders in the Victorian style that would be a nice touch (although not absolutely necessary). Thank you!

When I am looking for a DIY paper project template I usually start at Microsoft's office website. You can search to locate some wedding place card templates or escort cards templates though you'll probably find more using the words place card - it's a little more popular. There's a difference between the cards but just where they are to be placed and not in design. The escort cards are placed in the reception facility's outer lobby to tell guests what table they'll be sitting at and the place cards are put at each seat inside the reception hall.
Once you have the template you like at the Microsoft website you can drop in borders and graphics also found there in order to personalize them.

I saw a cute idea using paper doilies (either white or ivory to match your wedding colors) and some fabric stiffener. http://www.ehow.com/...rd-holders.html

Search on zazzle.com too.

Or just go to your local craft store and buy some perforated place cards and some stamp and ink sets. You can buy some lace, ribbon, silk/dried flowers for embellishments to coordinate with your wedding colors.

Hope this helps ignite your creative fires!

Once you locate the paper and template, why not handwrite them to authenticate your victorian theme?
